Polish govt to review 9 deregulation bills approved by parliamentary Standing Committee
Polish government will consider nine deregulation bills during its upcoming session on May 6, according to Maciej Berek, head of Poland's Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers (SKRM). The SKRM has approved these projects on Wednesday.
Maciej Berek announced on X that the nine deregulation projects concern a range of issues, including expanding services in the mObywatel app and counteracting over-regulation in the implementation of EU law.
The approved projects aim to lower the maximum relative court fee in civil cases from PLN 200,000 (EUR 46,760) to PLN 100,000 (EUR 23,380), and to extend the period for a divorced spouse to revert to their pre-marriage surname from 3 to 12 months.
The projects also include raising the VAT exemption threshold from PLN 200,000 (EUR 46,760) to PLN 240,000 (EUR 56,112) and introducing a six-month vacatio legis period for unfavourable tax changes.
Berek stated that the proposals included broadening the range of services available in the mObywatel app.
Other projects address simplifying procedures for requesting drug samples and removing the obligation to prepare and publicize information on implemented tax strategies.
