UPDATE: Poland's budget tax revenues to rise to PLN 579.9 bln in 2026 from PLN 536.3 bln in 2025
Poland's Ministry of Finance assumes that tax revenues in 2026 will amount to PLN 579.9 billion (EUR 135.9 bln) against PLN 536.3 billion (EUR 125.66 bln) expected in 2025, according to the explanatory memorandum to the draft budget for 2026.
Poland's revenues to the state budget from mineral extraction tax in 2026 are expected to fall to PLN 3.2 billion (EUR 749.8 mln) from PLN 4.36 billion (EUR 1 bln) forecast for this year.
According to the Ministry of Finance, revenues to the state budget from the tax on certain financial institutions in 2026 will increase to PLN 7.59 billion (EUR 1.8 bln) from PLN 7.13 billion (EUR 1.67 bln) in 2025. The projected revenue assumes an average growth rate of approximately 6.5 percent for the components of this tax.
The projected revenues from retail sales tax in 2026 will increase to PLN 4.96 billion (EUR 1.16 bln from PLN 4.66 billion (EUR 1.1 bln) this year. As the finance ministry pointed out, the above forecast was prepared on the basis of the average retail sales tax revenue for June 2024 – May 2025.
