UPDATE: Poland's govt's vote of confidence scheduled for June 11, says PM
The vote of confidence for Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s government will take place at an extraordinary parliamentary session on June 11, Tusk announced. Earlier on Tuesday, Sejm Speaker and leader of Poland2050 Szymon Holownia told a conference that the vote was likely to happen on June 10.
"I addressed the leaders of October 15 Coalition with the question of a vote of confidence in the government. (Sejm) Speaker Szymon Holownia proposed that this vote be held on Wednesday, June 11 (...)," Prime Minister Tusk said.
"At first, information was given that it would be Tuesday, but it turned out that [Polish parliament lower house] Sejm] hall is occupied on Tuesday," he added.
Earlier, Holownia had announced that the debate would take place on June 10.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk told a statement late Monday that he would soon ask the Sejm for a vote of confidence in his government.
