Poland will likely not see price rises for basic fuels at stations in coming week - e-petrol (opinion)
The coming days are not expected to bring price rises for basic fuels at petrol stations, the market researcher e-petrol said in its retail price projection for September 2-8.
"On the world's fuel exchanges, crude oil in the past week has started to make up for recent declines, but the increases in crude prices will not soon be reflected on the Polish fuel market," the researcher said in the report.
"Holiday deals are coming to an end at domestic fuel stations, but e-petrol has good news because in the coming days there is no threat of price rises in the case of basic fuels," it added.
According to e-petrol's forecasts, both Orlen and Aramco Fuels Poland will introduce modifications to their wholesale price lists on Saturday, but these will be small enough not to affect the direction of price changes at stations.
"Lately, the pace of price declines of basic fuels at stations has accelerated. However, drivers during the holidays were certainly more focused on taking advantage of deals that were in place at popular fuel station chains, and these were attractive, as it was possible to save as much as PLN 0.45 per litre," the weekly report pointed out.
"The coming weekend is also the last opportunity to fill up a tank at promotional prices at most stations of well-known brands, but the analysis of e-petrol. pl indicates that at the beginning of September, drivers can count on reductions in the prices of regular petrol and diesel," it added.
According to the researcher's forecasts, in the coming week (September 2-8) the prices of PB98-octane petrol will lower to a range of PLN 6.89 (EUR 1.61) and PLN 7.01 (EUR 1.64) per litre.
The price of unleaded petrol PB95 will decrease to a range of PLN 6.12 (EUR 1.43) and PLN 6.25 (EUR 1.46) per litre.
In the case of diesel, e-petrol experts expect it to cost less at a price range between PLN 6.16 (EUR 1.44) and PLN 6.28(EUR 1.48) per litre.
Those refuelling with autogas cannot count on reductions, as LPG (autogas) is expected to cost between PLN 2.80 (EUR 0.65) and PLN 2.87 (EUR 0.67) per litre at most stations.
