Poland's Job Barometer down by 2.2 pts in June to 255.6 - BIEC researcher

Poland's Job Barometer index, indicating changes in the number of jobs offers published online, decreased in June by 2.2 points to 255.6 points, the economic researcher BIEC and Department of Macroeconomics at the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow reported.

The authors of the study pointed out that this was the third consecutive decline.

The study shows that across broad occupational groups, the situation remains unchanged in professions requiring education in social sciences. A similar situation is also observed in services, largely due to the consolidation of the downward correction in the tourism industry and further declines in logistics.

On the other hand, the series of declines in vacancies for manual workers has continued, although there are still relatively many of them.

The study reveals that for months there has been a slight increase in the number of job offers for science graduates, mainly in IT professions and the construction industry.

The authors of the survey report that individual data on the demand for IT professions indicate that the reason for the increase is the small number of large employers who are currently actively recruiting employees, rather than a general revival of the IT industry.
