Bank Handlowy posts PLN 394 mln Q2 2024 attrib. net profit vs. PLN 538 mln net take expected
Bank Handlowy, the Warsaw-listed unit of Citigroup, posted a PLN 394.1 million (EUR 92 mln) attributable net profit in the second quarter of 2024 versus market expectations for a PLN 537.7 million net take (EUR 125.5 mln), the bank's second quarter data showed.
Earlier in August Bank Handlowy recognized a PLN 180 mln (EUR 42 mln) impairment related to the retail banking segment, which impacted the bank's financial results in the second quarter of 2024. The consensus does not account for this information.
