Poland's borrowers support fund FWK to repay housing loan instalments for flood victims for 12 months

Poland's borrower support fund FWK will repay housing loan instalments for flood victims for 12 months, finance minister Andrzej Domanski told a meeting of the crisis staff.

"We will introduce changes in the functioning of the FWK. For those borrowers who have temporarily lost the possibility of housing, the fund will pay instalments for 12 months, regardless of the amount of the instalment. The aid will be non-refundable," he said.

He added that he had spoken to Polish banking lobby ZBP and the largest banks about deferring instalments.

"I have received assurances that a plan to defer instalments on non-housing loans including SME loans is being worked on," he said.
