PKP Cargo SAPoland's losses in hydrotechnical infrastructure estimated at PLN billions
Losses in Polish hydrotechnical infrastructure caused by the floods are estimated in billions of Polish zlotys, the infrastructure minister Dariusz Klimczak told a briefing.
"Losses in water infrastructure can be counted in billions and these are the biggest losses. Reconstruction will be costly and time-consuming," Klimczak said.
The minister added that according to preliminary calculations, road losses had reached PLN 155 million (EUR 36.3 mln).
"The losses are still being estimated," he stressed.
Klimczak continued that very tentatively rail losses could be estimated at least PLN 125 million (EUR 29.3 mln).
"These are very preliminary estimates. They will be increased by individual companies. We do not have data from PKP Cargo," he said.
