Allegro e-commerce starts operations in Hungary, launches allegro. hu shopping platform
Listed e-commerce group Allegro has launched its shopping platform in Hungary, allegro. hu, the group said in a press release.
"Hungary is one of the most promising European destinations due to the low market saturation of big brands and the growing demand for online shop offers. Hungarian customers are keen to buy online - nearly 70 percent of internet users do so regularly," said Allegro's CCO Matthias Frechen, quoted in the press release.
The company said that the entry into the Hungarian market is an extension of the potential customers' group by another 10 million.
Allegro launched its shopping platform allegro. sk in Slovakia in March 2024.
