Poland's hard coal share in energy output down to 41.54 pct in March - grid operator
In March 2025, the percentage share of hard coal in Poland's total power generation decreased to 41.54 percent from 42.94 percent in the prior year period, according to data by Poland's grid operator PSE.
Lignite-based power plants supplied 20.52 percent of total generation in March 2025, down from 20.84 percent in the prior year period.
Gas-fired power plants supplied 11.06 percent of energy against 10.25 percent recorded a year ago.
Wind power plants supplied 13.56 percent of energy, down from 14.45 percent in March 2024.
Hydropower plants provided 1.58 percent of energy compared to 2.66 percent in the prior year period.
Renewable sources other than hydro and wind provided 11.74 percent of all energy in March this year, against 8.86 percent in the prior year period.
