Listed video games developer 11 bit studios focuses on 'single player' games with the additional intention of implementing mechanics and 'multiplayer' and/or 'social' aspects in them, the company said in a release on its strategic development directions. The aim is to develop projects in parallel, in three product pillars.
"Our aim is to develop multiple projects in parallel, across the three product pillars, while maintaining process efficiency and operational flexibility," the company wrote.
As stated, the work based on the company's three product pillars (A, B and C) of games is a combination of brand new and already built IP with the potential for 'platform' development of selected games.
11 bit explained that pillar A is new games based on new or selected IPs of the company, developed by an internal team. Pillar B, the multi-year development of the company's selected games with a large player base, implemented in shorter production cycles.
Pillar C (X-DEV publishing) is the release of games with mechanically engaging gameplay from ambitious studios from around the world.
11 bit studios wants to carry out the evolution of 'meaningful games' towards 'relatable games', making sure that the 'games' aspect is as important as 'relatable'.
The games developer said that the preferred scale of new internal games framed as teams of 30-60 people, completing a game in four years.
"Our ambition is to be an independent studio developing a range of original, +relatable+ games, giving ourselves the opportunity for frequent market success, while remaining an innovative, effective team and a stable company," the release said.
