AB SAAB distributor adopts dividend policy for 2024/25 - 2027/28 financial years
Listed distributor of IT, household appliances and consumer electronics AB has adopted a dividend policy for financial years 2024/2025 - 2027/2028, the company said in a market filing. It was indicated that the management board intends to recommend the payment of a dividend for the 2024/2025 financial year in the amount of 60 percent of the group's consolidated attributable net profit for that financial year.
AB explained that according to the adopted policy, when recommending the dividend amount, the management board will consider two main factors: the dividend should provide a good return on investment for shareholders, and it should allow the company to continue its daily operations and support its growth plans, such as funding working capital, investments, and potential acquisitions within the AB capital group.
If the above assumptions are met, the management board intends to submit to the company's ordinary general meeting a recommendation to pay a dividend in the amount of:
- for the financial year 2024/2025: 60 percent of the group's consolidated attributable net profit for that financial year;
- for the financial years 2025/2026 to 2027/2028: 40-66 percent of the group's consolidated attributable net profit for the previous financial year,
whereby the level of debt of the AB capital group at the end of the financial year to which the dividend payment relates, taking into account the recommended dividend, may not exceed 3.0x in terms of the consolidated net debt/EBITDA ratio.
According to the market filing, the policy will apply from the 2024/2025 financial year to the 2027/2028 financial year.
It was indicated that in the event of a change in the circumstances underlying the adoption of the policy, the management board will review it and, if necessary, amend it by means of an appropriate resolution.
