Amazon e-commerce expects further growth in Poland
Global e-commerce leader Amazon, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary of operating in Poland, expects further business growth on the Polish market, company representatives told a meeting with reporters.
"We expect growth in all areas," said Amazon's senior deputy CEO for international stores Russell Grandinetti.
Amazon has been operating in Poland since 2014. In March 2021, it has launched the Amazon. pl service.
"We have ambitious plans for our marketplace business. (...) We launched it three years ago in Poland, and we are happy with our beginnings. It will take years to develop the offering to its full potential, but I am proud of the team and their progress. I expect further growth," Grandinetti said.
"I expect to see an increase in the number of Polish entrepreneurs selling on Amazon in Poland," he added.
The Keystone report indicates that Amazon has spent more than PLN 30 billion (EUR 6.9 bln) on development in Poland between 2012 and 2023.
Keystone estimates that Amazon's ventures have contributed more than PLN 31 billion (EUR 7.1 bln) to the Polish GDP since 2012.
Amazon announced in a press release that it will continue to invest in projects that cover key areas of its business, including, among others, jobs, and support for Polish entrepreneurs in the development of sales on Amazon. pl. New initiatives for local communities and sustainable development are also planned.
