Asseco SEE and BNP Paribas to join mWIG40 index, Grenevia and Selvita to leave (opinion)

Listed IT group Asseco SEE and listed lender BNP Paribas BP will enter the mWIG40 index, while listed industrials company Grenevia and listed pharmaceutical firm Selvita are likely to leave; large-cap WIG20 index is likely to remain unchanged, according to analysts at mBank's lender brokerage, BM mBank.


As the BM mBank's analysts pointed out, the June index adjustment will be carried out based on the closing prices of a randomly selected day from the May 19-23 trading window. The adjustments will be announced on Thursday, June 5, and will take effect after the session on Friday, June 20.

"Regardless of the session day drawn, we expect Asseco SEE and BNP Paribas BP to join the mWIG40 index in June, and Grenevia and Selvita to leave it," the analysts wrote on X.

"Our analysis of the ranking of companies indicates that the composition of the WIG20 index will not change in June regardless of the session day drawn. The WIG20 reserve list in June, in our opinion, will include XTB and Asseco Poland," they added.
