Azoty chemicals inks letter of intent with American Gas Partners for potential US gas supplies

Listed chemicals group Azoty has signed a letter of intent with American Gas Partners regarding potential cooperation on gas supplies from the US, the company said in a press release.


The signed document is the first step, enabling the negotiation of detailed terms of a potential agreement.

Deliveries, if an agreement is reached, would be made through a gas contracting and purchasing platform, with a limited number of European gas customers and certain US gas producers as target participants.

American Gas Partners is currently preparing an investment project for the construction of liquefied natural gas transhipment infrastructure in the US, which, it was reported, would significantly increase gas supply options to Europe, including Poland.
