Budimex SABudimex builder expects to secure PLN 6.5 bln worth contracts in 2025, says CEO
Listed builder Budimex expects to secure contracts worth PLN 6.5 billion (EUR 1.5 bln) in 2025, CEO Artur Popko told a press conference following the release of group's financial report for the second quarter.
"We are not maintaining our contracting plan of PLN 8.5 billion in 2025. We expect to achieve contracting at the level of PLN 6.5 billion. The situation is challenging in terms of the market and the specifics of signing contracts," CEO Popko told the conference.
"In the first half of the year, we are signing contracts that we submitted last year. We are seeing cancellations by competitors in most tenders, so the whole process is taking longer. Even if we submit the most favourable bids this year, the contracts will not be signed until 2026," he added.
The Budimex group's order portfolio at the end of June 2025 amounted to approximately PLN 17 billion (EUR 4 bln). The value of projects awaiting signing and those where the bid submitted by Budimex or companies from the group has been rated highest is currently approximately PLN 8.5 billion (EUR 2 bln).
In the first half of 2025, the group secured contracts worth PLN 2.457 billion (EUR 574.94 mln).
