Budimex builder posts PLN 2.3 bln in revenue and PLN 156.2 mln in net profit in Q2, in line with estimates

In the second quarter of 2024, Budimex had PLN 2,395.3 million (EUR 536.4 mln) in revenue, PLN 180.9 million (EUR 42.5 mln) in EBIT and PLN 157.6 million (EUR 37.1 mln) in net profit.

In the entire first half of 2025, the group's revenue amounted to PLN 3.95 billion (EUR 929 mln), EBIT to PLN 301.9 million (EUR 71 mln), and attributable net profit to PLN 270.5 million (EUR 63.6 mln). In the same period a year earlier, revenues amounted to PLN 4.04 billion (EUR 950.2 mln), EBIT to PLN 295.8 million (EUR 69.6 mln), and the attributable net profit to PLN 276.8 million (EUR 65.1 mln).

Budimex also reported that gross profit on sales in the first half of 2025 rose to PLN 485.2 million (EUR 114.1 mln) from PLN 478.9 million (EUR 112.6 mln) a year earlier.

"The main reason for the decline in revenue was the increased involvement of the construction segment in the implementation of intra-group contracts (including the construction of photovoltaic farms), whose turnover was eliminated at the level of the group's consolidation exclusions," the report said.

The Budimex Group's order portfolio as at June 30, 2025 amounted to PLN 17 billion (EUR 3 bln). The value of contracts signed in the period January-June 2025 amounted to PLN 2.5 billion or EUR 588 million (and additionally less than PLN 600 million or EUR 141.1 million after 1 July 2025). As at June 30, 2025, the value of the group's bids with the lowest prices or those rated highest by the contracting authorities was approximately PLN 8.7 billion (EUR 2 bln), of which PLN 5.2 billion (EUR 1.2 bln) was attributable to the Rail Baltica contract in Latvia.

The group ended the first half of 2025 with a cash position exceeding PLN 1.8 billion (EUR 423.4 mln).
