Bumech SABumech coal inks deal with RSA-based OTT Technologies for production of armoured vehicles
Listed coal group Bumech, owner of the Silesia mine, has signed a cooperation agreement with OTT Technologies, based in South Africa, for the production and development of armoured vehicles for the European market, Bumech said in a market filing.
Under the agreement, the parties agreed that the aim of the cooperation is to Polonise and Europeanise OTT products, thus enabling their manufacture, marketing and distribution on the European market.
The cooperation will cover PUMA, LM and Bulldog armoured vehicles. Bumech's product range includes military vehicles, support vehicles for uniformed services, special vehicles and armoured cabins for trucks, command and technical support vehicles. The parties have agreed on the rules for implementing an anti-drone protection system on vehicles.
It has been announced that, under the agreement, Bumech will be able to change and modify solutions in order to flexibly adapt them to the needs of the modern battlefield.
The agreement defines the geographical scope of cooperation as Central Europe and Scandinavia, but it may be extended to additional neighbouring countries by mutual agreement between the parties.
The agreement is concluded for an initial period until December 31, 2027. The parties have agreed that if the agreed threshold conditions are met, the agreement will be automatically extended.
