Creepy Jar SACreepy Jar gaming estimates net take of PLN 5 mln in Q1 2025, above expectations
Listed video games developer Creepy Jar estimates that it had a net profit of PLN 5 million (EUR 1.2 mln) in the first quarter of 2025, up from PLN 3.3 million (EUR 776,160) in the prior year period, which means an increase of 51 percent year on year, Creepy Jar said in a market filing. The PAP Biznes consensus was for a PLN 4.3 million (EUR 1 mln) net take.
In the first quarter of 2025, Creepy Jar's sales revenues amounted to PLN 8.5 million (EUR 2 mln), up from PLN 7.3 million (EUR 1.7 mln) in the prior year period, up 17 percent year on year. The market expectations pointed to the revenues of PLN 8.3 million (EUR 1.95 mln).
EBIT for the period was PLN 4.9 million (EUR 1.15 mln), against PLN 2.9 million (EUR 682,080) a year earlier, an increase of 70 percent year on year. The consensus was for an EBIT of PLN 4.2 million (EUR 987,840).
As of March 31, 2025, short-term financial assets amounted to PLN 80.4 million (EUR 18.9 mln) against PLN 76.6 million (EUR 18 mln) on December 31, 2024.
During the first quarter, the company reported a decrease in operating expenses compared to the prior year period, due to lower Green Hell game development costs and the recognition of a lower non-cash cost for the 2023-2025 Incentive Programme.
"Based on preliminary sales data available as of the date of this report, Green Hell's estimated gross sales for the aforementioned platforms since the beginning of 2025 were 596,000 copies, of which 107,000 copies are for PlayStation and Xbox consoles," Creepy Jar wrote.
The above figures are estimates and the final financial results for the first quarter of 2025, together with comparative figures, will be included in the report that company is slated to publish on May 27.
