Cyfrowy Polsat SACyfrowy Polsat assumes lower input of real estate segment to next quarters' results
Listed TMT group Cyfrowy Polsat assumes a lower contribution from the real estate segment in the next quarters' results due to seasonality and the lack of planned investments to be delivered in 2025, CFO Katarzyna Ostap-Tomann told the videoconference.
"As far as the real estate segment is concerned, please remember that this is the second quarter when we are at the final stage of the sold flats delivery to customers, so we are recording increases in revenue and EBITDA," Ostap-Tomann pointed out.
"(...) This segment is a seasonal segment and this year, we will certainly not be handing over another investment, so in the following quarters you can expect single contributions from this segment. (...) It will not be as spectacular as in the fourth quarter of 2024 and first quarter of 2025," she added.
Cyfrowy Polsat's CFO assessed that Poland's Monetary Policy Council's decision to lower interest rates will have a positive impact of PLN 25-30 million (EUR 5.9-7.1 mln) on group's interest payments.
In addition, she reminded that at the end of the second quarter and the beginning of the third quarter of 2025, Cyfrowy Polsat faces a surcharge for the 700 MHz band, for winning one band of this frequency in the 5G auction and a surcharge for extending the frequency reservation for the 900 MHz band.
"I estimate that during the whole of 2025, the inflows from frequency fees will be around PLN 1 billion (...). The next frequency fees, if I am not mistaken, will not be until 2029," Ostap-Tomann said.
On Wednesday, the media reported that the Court of Liechtenstein had settled the dispute over the validity of the amendments to the statutes of the TiVi Foundation and the transfer of control over it, made on August 2, 2024.
The court fully recognised the rationale of Zygmunt Solorz's children and dismissed their father's claim. Zygmunt Solorz announced that he would appeal against the Liechtenstein court's non-final judgment.
"The company is not a party to the ongoing proceedings; we are a public company and as you are well aware we are subject to disclosure obligations. All material confidential information concerning the activities of Cyfrowy Polsat and the Polsat Plus Group is immediately communicated in current reports," CEO Miroslaw Blaszczyk told the videoconference.
"At the same time, I stress that Cyfrowy Polsat and its capital group are operating stably according to plan and in a normal operating mode. The financial situation of the group is stable, we are consistently implementing our strategy, and we are settling our obligations towards financial institutions and bondholders on schedule," he added.
