Orlen SAEnerga power completes commissioning process of 37.4 MW Szybowice wind farm
Energa Green Development, a subsidiary of Energa, listed power utility owned by Poland's largest energy concern Orlen, has completed the commissioning process and obtained a permit for the use of the Szybowice wind farm (Opolskie region) with a total capacity of 37.4 MW, the company announced in a press release. This is the 19th onshore wind farm in the Orlen group's portfolio.
As stated, Szybowice wind farm consists of 17 Vestas V110 wind turbines (each with a capacity of 2.2 MW), which, according to the design assumptions, will produce enough energy to power 40,000 households per year.
In addition to the Szybowice wind farm, the Energa Group is implementing two further renewable energy investments in the south of Poland. These are the PV Kotla (target capacity 130 MW) and PV Serby (112 MW) photovoltaic farms, both being built in the Glogow district of Lower Silesia.
