Energa SAEnerga power expects PLN 484 mln net profit in Q1 2025
Listed power utility Energa, Poland's largest energy concern Orlen's subsidiary, estimates the net profit in the first quarter of 2025 at PLN 484 million (EUR 114 mln), up from PLN 431 million (EUR 101.5 mln) in the prior year period, Energa said in a market filing. Revenues are estimated at nearly PLN 5.936 billion (EUR 1.4 bln) and EBITDA at PLN 1.164 billion (EUR 274.1 mln).
As reported, the EBITDA result was mostly influenced by the results achieved in the Distribution business line at PLN 965 million (EUR 227.3 mln).
Capital expenditure in the first quarter of 2025 is estimated at PLN 746 million (EUR 175.7 mln) against PLN 759 million (EUR 178.74 mln) in the prior year period.
Energa estimates that electricity distribution was 6,158 GWh (versus 6,105 GWh in the first quarter of 2024), gross electricity generation was 866 GWh (vs 870 GWh in the prior year period) and retail electricity sales were 4,654 GWh (against 4,605 GWh in the prior year period).
