Orlen SAEnerga power intends to pursue claims for damages caused in Ostroleka C project
Poland's largest energy concern Orlen's subsidiary, power utility Energa, intends to pursue claims for compensation for damage caused in the exercise of management or supervision by persons responsible for making decisions related to the implementation of the project involving the construction of a coal-fired unit with a capacity of approximately 1,000 MW Ostroleka C, the company said in a press release.
"The above decision of the company's management board was made after analysing the opinions received from external law firms, which indicate that the behaviour of certain former members of the company's bodies in connection with the project's implementation caused the company to suffer damage to great value," it was written.
As indicated, considering the above, the company's supervisory board will ask the company's general meeting to adopt appropriate resolutions so that, on this basis, the company will have the right to take - through judicial or extrajudicial means - any steps enabling the company to pursue its claims.
