Huuuge, Inc.Huuuge plans group layoffs at Huuuge Games of approx. 21 pct of group's employees
Listed mobile free-to-play games developer Huuuge is planning group layoffs at its subsidiary, Huuuge Games, which will involve approximately 21 percent of the group's total workforce or 89 people as of the end of December, the games developer said in a market filing. The redundancies will be carried out from the end of February.
"Following a consultation process with employee representatives on collective redundancies, it reached an agreement with employee representatives on collective redundancies and submitted notifications to the relevant labour offices on January 16, 2025, thus starting the process of collective redundancies," the release said.
"The subsidiary assumes that 89 people will be affected by the redundancies, representing approximately 21 percent of the total Huuuge Group workforce (as at the end of December 31, 2024). At the same time," it added.
At the same time, the group has decided to restructure its workforce in the Netherlands and Finland. The reduction in employment in Poland and outside Poland will affect a total of 122 people, which represents approximately 29 percent of the total group's employees (as at the end of December 31, 2024).
Final data on the impact of the subsidiary's employment restructuring on the financial results of the issuer and its capital group will be presented in the consolidated report for Q1 2025.
In the first decade of January, Huuuge reported that it planned to make group redundancies at Huuuge Games, which were expected to amount to approximately 21 percent of the subsidiary's workforce. It added at the time that the anticipated group job cuts could amount to around 28 percent.
