InPost with over one billion parcels delivered in 2024
Amsterdam-listed parcel locker operator InPost Group delivered more than one billion parcels in 2024, and during the Christmas peak, InPost handled nearly 14 million parcels in one day, the company announced in a press release.
In 2024, for the first time ever, InPost Group surpassed the number of one billion parcels handled - reaching 1,091,644,003 parcels, an increase of 22 percent year on year.
In each of its key markets - Poland, France and the UK - the group grew significantly faster than the e-commerce market itself.
"Last year was a record year for the InPost Group in every respect. We delivered more than 1 billion parcels for the first time ever, installed more than 11,500 Parcel Post machines, and handled almost 14 million parcels in just one day in December - in the run-up to Christmas," said InPost's founder and CEO Rafal Brzoska, quoted in the press release.
"Last year, we expanded our network in Poland to over 25,000 machines. Newly introduced services, including InPost Pay and the loyalty programme, are already showing their effectiveness, contributing to volume growth," he added.
In the UK, the group has completed the acquisition of Menzies, giving it full control over the entire logistics process and allowing it to double volumes by 2024.
In Poland, InPost delivered 709.3 million parcels in the whole of 2024, achieving year-on-year growth of 20 percent, driven mainly by small and medium-sized merchants, the fashion segment and domestic and foreign marketplaces.
In the UK, InPost delivered 93.2 million parcels, doubling volumes from 2023.
InPost Group handled a total of 322.1 million parcels in the fourth quarter of 2024 alone, up by 20 percent year on year. On the record-breaking day of pre-Christmas peak, the group handled almost 14 million parcels in Europe.
In Poland, InPost recorded a record volume of 209.9 million in the fourth quarter (up 20 percent year on year), despite a high base from last year.
The group maintained its leading position in terms of machine network in Poland, France and the UK. InPost doubled the number of machines in Spain, Portugal and Italy.
InPost's network in Poland in terms of the number of machines increased by 15 percent year on year to over 25,000 machines. Currently, almost 90 percent of people living in the Polish cities have the nearest Paczkomat device within a seven-minute walk.
