mBank lender and UNIQA insurance hope to more than double bancassurance portfolio

Listed lender group mBank and UNIQA insurer have extended their strategic partnership and expect to more than double their portfolio in the bancassurance sector within 12 years, the companies said in press releases.


It was reported that the new agreement relates to the offer for mBank's retail customers and customers of mLeasing, one of mBank's key group companies.

The agreement provides for the further development of standalone insurance offerings and products to support the sustainability of customers in the corporate segment, and further investments in digital processes.

As part of the strategic partnership, UNIQA's insurance offer is available in all of mBank's sales channels, with digital channels leading the way (both in the additional services model and in the standalone model, which customers can buy independently of their bank products).

Currently, the product portfolio includes: life insurance, motor insurance, insurance for leasing, housing and home insurance, as well as travel insurance.

mBank and UNIQA have been working together since 2015.
