Mo-Bruk recycling views revenue growth prospects in 2025 overall as positive

Listed industrial recycling firm Mo-Bruk has a positive outlook for revenue growth throughout 2025 and expects the second half of the year to be better. The group aims to return the EBITDA margin from core operations to 50 percent, management board representatives told a videoconference.


"We assess positively [the prospects for revenue growth throughout 2025 - PAP ed.]. The first quarter is always weaker (...), in industry the second half of the year is better. We are very optimistic about future revenues and margins this year. I think the second half of the year should be definitely better," CEO Henryk Siodmok assessed.

"In the second quarter we still have cement plant shutdowns, they are just starting to work. We are also finishing investments," he added.

The group's revenue in the first quarter of 2025 was PLN 59.6 million (EUR 14 mln), up 9 percent year on year. Operating profit was PLN 17.1 million (EUR 4 mln)m, down 4.3 percent year on year, and EBITDA was PLN 24.3 million (EUR 5.7 mln), up 10.8 percent year on year. Net profit amounted to PLN 12.5 million (EUR 2.9 mln).

EBITDA margin from core operations was at 45 percent.

"We aim to return the EBITDA margin on core business to 50 percent, and we are on the right track to achieve this," said Mo-Bruk's deputy CEO Rafal Michalczuk.

"(...) In the coming quarters, we expect to improve our results to get closer to the 50 percent margin," he added.

The group processed 73,300 tonnes of waste in the first quarter of 2025, of which 54,200 tonnes was attributable to the solidification and stabilisation segment, 12,700 tonnes to the RDF segment and 6,400 tonnes to incineration.

The management was also asked about acquisition plans.

"We are in talks with several targets, [the talks] are progressing. We hope to complete some transactions in the current year," the CEO said.

The Mo-Bruk group processes hazardous industrial waste, and selected fractions of municipal waste.

The company produces, among other things, alternative fuels from the waste, and also produces artificial aggregate used, among other things, in road construction or as reclamation material.

The group has two incineration plants, where, among other things, medical and hazardous waste is processed.
