Listed rail hauler PKP Cargo plans to purchase 400 specialised wagons for the transport of goods for the construction materials market, the company announced in a press release. This is part of the strategy set out in the restructuring plan.
As stated, the 42 Eamnos wagons are the first to strengthen the fleet for the construction materials market. Next year, PKP Cargo plans to purchase 400 such wagons.
The 4-axle Eamnos wagon is designed to transport moisture-insensitive bulk materials such as aggregates, gravel, iron ore, mineral ore, coal, wood and steel.
"Having a new type of wagon in the PKP Cargo fleet, for which there is market demand, will increase the company's range of services and open up new transport opportunities," said PKP Cargo's CEO Agnieszka Wasilewska-Semail, quoted in the press release.
"It thus builds our competitive advantage by showing that we focus on high-quality solutions that optimise the transport process. Such activities are in line with both the restructuring plan and strategic operational plans," she added.
