PKP PLK rail with tenders worth PLN 12.4 bln launched in Q1, PLN 16 bln planned in 2025
In the first quarter of 2025, Poland's railway infrastructure operator PKP PLK launched tenders worth PLN 12.4 billion (EUR 2.9 bln) with PLN 16 billion (EUR 3.75 bln) planned for the whole year, the company said in a press release.
"By the end of this year, tenders totalling around PLN 16 billion are planned to be launched. PLK SA closed the first quarter of this year with PLN 12.4 billion in announced tenders," the opeator wrote.
PKP PLK said that in the first quarter of 2025, all planned tenders above PLN 100 million (EUR 23.45 mln) have been launched.
"We notice that the new opening to railway investments is being positively received by the contractor community, which was in a difficult situation for the previous two years," said the CEO of PLK SA Piotr Wyborski, quoted in the press release.
