Poland to invest PLN 65 bln in power grid, PLN 60 bln in nuclear power plant, says industry min.
Poland will invest PLN 65 billion (EUR 15.6 bln) in the national power grid in 2025 and PLN 60 billion (EUR 14.4 bln) in a nuclear power plant, the industry minister Marzena Czarnecka announced in a video published on X. She added that the government is now choosing a location for a second nuclear power plant.
"2025 is a year of strategic decisions also in terms of energy investments. We will invest PLN 650 billion and PLN 65 billion in power grid investments alone," Czarnecka said.
She added that this is a year of important investments in low-carbon energy, exemplified by the PLN 60 billion (EUR 14.4 bln) investment in Poland's nuclear power plants in Pomerania.
"This is the first investment in a nuclear power plant, but it is the beginning because as for the second investment we are choosing the location," she added.
Poland will be investing a huge amount of money equally in the energy sector, particularly in low-carbon energy.
