Poland records EUR 5.7 bln in EIB Group's financing in 2024, says deputy head
In 2024, The European Investment Bank Group's financing in Poland amounted to EUR 5.7 billion, up by 10 percent year on year, the deputy head of EIB Teresa Czerwinska said.
"EUR 5.7 billion - that's financing for the entire Group last year alone, a 10 percent increase year on year," the EIB's deputy head told the press conference.
As stated in the EIB presentation, EUR 2.5 billion was allocated to the area of sustainable urban and regional development, EUR 1.2 billion to energy and environmental projects, EUR 1.1 billion to SMEs and EUR 840 million to innovation.
The European Investment Bank (EIB) is the EU's long-term lending institution owned by the EU Member States. The Bank provides long-term financial support for significant investments, contributing to the achievement of European Union objectives.
