Poland's finance ministry plans to accelerate work on changes concerning capital market
Poland's Ministry of Finance has declared that it will accelerate work on changes concerning the capital market and introduce a series of deregulatory measures, according to a statement made by Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski during the Fund Forum in Naleczow.
"The Ministry of Finance plans to accelerate work on changes concerning the capital market. I would like to declare once again that these changes will be made in cooperation with the market," said Minister Domanski.
He reminded that currently, the capitalisation of companies on the Warsaw Stock Exchange is 25 percent of Polish GDP, while the EU average is 65 percent and in some EU countries it exceeds 100 percent.
"That is why, in my opinion, it is so important to talk about how to turn savings into investments that work effectively for the economy, how to stimulate capital investment, how to make better use of what we already have, and how to activate mechanisms that will allow capital to work for the future of Poland and Europe," said Andrzej Domanski.
