Poland's national R&D centre to allocate PLN 505 mln for new R&D initiatives
Poland's national research and development centre NCBR plans to start new research and development initiatives alongside public sector entities. The centre will allocate PLN 505 million (EUR 120 mln) for this purpose from European funds for a modern economy, the centre wrote in a statement.
As stated, the aim of those initiatives will be to develop solutions that respond to the identifiable needs of public institutions, related to the transformation towards the European Green Deal and digitalisation.
In implementing the projects, NCBR plans to cooperate with three groups of potential partners: public sector entities, R&D contractors and potential users of the developed solutions.
"We have a minimum of 15 new R&D initiatives planned in cooperation with public sector entities in the formula of pre-commercial procurement and educational activities in the area of innovative public procurement, which will target the public sector," said professor Jerzy Malachowski, head of the NCBR, as quoted in the statement.
As stated, awarding contracts in the PCP formula is a solution available to every public ordering party.
