Poland's nuclear power SPV to apply to NAEE for technology licensing for 1st nuclear power plant
Poland's 100-percent state-owned nuclear power SPV PEJ has begun preparatory work on the construction site of Poland's first nuclear power plant, and next year it will submit an application for technology licensing to the National Atomic Energy Agency (Polish: PAA), deputy energy minister and government strategic energy infrastructure representative Wojciech Wrochna announced at a conference at the new headquarters of the Ministry of Energy.
"Work has begun on the site, construction [of Poland's first nuclear power plant - PAP ed.] is starting, and next year PEJ will submit a very important application for technology licensing," Wrochna announced.
He added that the process will take place before the National Atomic Energy Agency (PAA) and will be open.
PEJ announced on Friday that it had begun preparatory work in October for the construction of Poland's first nuclear power plant, which is based on American Westinghouse technology.
