Poland's pension plans PPK assets value up to PLN 36.2 bln at end-April - development fund
The net asset value of Poland's employer-sponsored pension plans PPK rose by PLN 1.6 billion (EUR 373.76 mln) to PLN 36.2 billion (EUR 8.46 bln) at end of April, marking the second highest monthly nominal increase ever, the state development fund PFR managing PPK said on its website.
"Despite the turmoil in the international financial markets, the net asset value of PPKs increased by more than PLN 1.6 billion in April this year. This was the second largest nominal increase in PPK net asset value ever, following the PLN 1.8 billion increase in January 2025," PFR reported.
"The net asset value of PPKs at the end of April this year amounted to. PLN 36.2 billion and was 41.7 percent higher than in the prior year period and 4.7 percent higher on a monthly basis," it added
Participation in Poland's employer-sponsored pension plans rose to 52.57 percent in April from 52.14 percent in March and 47.05 percent a year earlier.
Participation is calculated by the PFR as the number of active PPK accounts divided by the number of people employed in employing entities with an active PPK management contract and at least one active PPK account.
