Polenergia SAPolenergia renewables and Equinor power ink deal on design work advisory for Baltyk 1 farm
Listed renewables group Polenergia and Norwegian power utility Equinor have signed a contract with Ramboll and Projmors consortium for advisory work in the scope of design work and obtaining a complete set of permits for the construction of the Baltyk 1 offshore wind farm, Polenergia said in a press release.
"Maintaining Poland's offshore development schedule between the first and second phases is key to maintaining continuity in building competence and increasing the competitiveness of the entire industry. The Baltic 1 project, which is not only the largest in the Polish Baltic Sea but also the most advanced in the second phase, which offers great opportunities," said Michal Jerzy Kolodziejczy, CEO of Equinor in Poland as quoted in the press release.
"That is why it is so important that the auction takes place as planned, in 2025," he added.
Baltyk 1 is the project of the largest wind farm in the Polish part of the Baltic Seaand at the same time, the most advanced project of the so-called second phase of the offshore wind sector development in Poland. The Baltyk 1 offshore wind farm, with a planned capacity of up to 1560 MW, is being prepared to participate in the auction in 2025.
Ramboll is a global architecture, engineering and consulting firm based in Denmark. Projmors is a design office in Poland that specialises in the design of
hydrotechnical design, which includes offshore wind power or industry.
Polenergia and Equinor are jointly developing three wind farms in the Baltic Sea, which will have a total capacity of up to 3,000 MW.
