Polenergia SAPolenergia renewables inks PLN 100 mln cPPA agreement with construction store chains
Listed renewables group Polenergia has signed an 8-year cPPA agreement with construction supplies store chains Leroy Merlin Polska and Bricoman Polska, part of the Adeo Group, for the supply of renewable energy with a total value of over PLN 100 million (EUR 23.4 mln), Polenergia announced in a press release.
As Polenergia pointed out, this is one of the largest PPA agreements concluded by the group.
The energy contracted for the needs of the Adeo Group companies will come from the Grabowo wind farm and the Strzelino photovoltaic farm.
The sale of energy to customers will be carried out by Polenergia's subsidiary, Polenergia Obrot. Leroy Merlin Polska will receive 41 GWh and Bricoman Polska 4 GWh of renewable energy per year.
As reported, in addition to green energy from these specific sources, Polenergia Obrot will provide customers with guarantees of origin equal to their renewable energy consumption.
The company said that the agreement ensures cost stability and predictability of supply in a changing market environment. In addition to the main PPA agreement, the companies have concluded an accompanying PPA+ agreement providing customers with comprehensive solutions for balancing the supply of contracted energy.
Polenergia, through its subsidiaries Polenergia Obrot and Polenergia Sprzedaz (the merger of these companies under the Polenergia Obrot brand is scheduled for 2026), sells electricity from renewable and green sources.
For the purposes of cPPA contracts, energy is supplied from thirteen wind farms and eight photovoltaic farms belonging to the group, with a total capacity of 642 MW.
