Polimex Mostostal builder targets over PLN 3 bln revenue in 2025; to publish new strategy

Listed builder Polimex Mostostal expects a significant increase in its order book and targets more than PLN 3 billion (EUR 705.5 mln) in revenue for 2025, board representatives told a conference. The group wants to present a new strategy this year, which will be effective for the 2033 horizon.

"The value of revenues planned for 2025 is indeed more than PLN 3 billion, almost PLN 4 billion. These are amounts coming mainly from the oil, chemicals, gas sector this year," deputy CEO Marzena Hebda-Sztandkie said.

In the first quarter of 2025, the group had revenue of PLN 875 million (EUR 205.8 mln) (up 45 percent year on year) and operating profit of PLN 36.1 million (EUR 8.5 mln) (compared to a loss of PLN 9.4 million or EUR 2.2 mln a year earlier).

Net profit in the first three months of 2025 was PLN 27.5 million, compared to a net loss of PLN 12.5 million a year earlier.

"We expect a significant increase in orders and order book in the group. This is directly linked to the release of funds from the national recovery plan KPO, the implementation of strategic plans of our largest ordering parties like Orlen, Tauron, Enea, PGE, the development of transmission networks published by PSE. This will be reflected in our strategy," CEO Jakub Stypula said.

The current order portfolio of the Polimex-Mostostal group, net of sales attributable to consortium members, is worth approximately PLN 7.06 billion (EUR 1.66 bln).

"We have a portfolio of more than PLN 7 billion of orders in the pipeline. This is less compared to the quarters of last year, but we hope that the portfolio will be slightly more valuable. On the other hand, the PLN 22 billion in the current offering gives us hope that we will quickly move to a much higher level," assessed deputy CEO Miroslaw Soltysiak.

In autumn, the group wants to present a new strategy.

"Around August-September we should be ready with the assumptions of our strategy," said the CEO.

"Our aim is to develop the strategy and implement it from 2026 onwards (...) We will want the main direction to show how we will include the financial dimension as much as possible in the strategy," Hebda-Sztandkie added.

As reported by the CEO, the strategy will include, among other things, activities related to the expansion into foreign markets.

The strategy is expected to be valid until 2033 and will be reviewed and updated every two years.
