Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) and Rheinmetall sign strategic agreement on support vehicles
The Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) Landsysteme GmbH, a subsidiary of Rheinmetall AG, have signed a cooperation agreement on strategic cooperation in the field of support vehicles for the Polish Armed Forces, PGZ said on its website.
"The MoU (Memorandum of Understanding - PAP) aims at the foundation of a Joint Venture in order to create a European Support Vehicles Centre, namely the production of Armoured Recovery Vehicles, Armoured Engineering Vehicles with Mine Breaching Capability as well as Armoured Vehicle-Launched Bridges" the release said.
"In view to current threat from the East, PGZ and Rheinmetall contribute to building an all-European defence potential by signing this MoU. It is another step towards making Europe’s defence more secure and stronger," it added.
