Polish Armaments Group PGZ's CEO Krzysztof Trofiniak resigns
The CEO of Poland's state armaments group PGZ Krzysztof Trofiniak has resigned from his position on Wednesday, the head of PGZ's communications and promotion office Justyna Wawrzynska-Bak confirmed to PAP. She added that the PGZ board currently operates within a four-member composition.
Unofficial information about Trofiniak's resignation was reported earlier by Onet. A member of the PGZ's board, requesting anonymity, confirmed to PAP that Trofiniak submitted his resignation on Wednesday afternoon. As the PAP interviewee added, Trofiniak cited personal reasons. It is not yet known when the PGZ supervisory board will meet. The last meeting was held on Friday.
The head of PGZ's communications and promotion office Justyna Wawrzynska-Bak confirmed in an interview with PAP that Trofiniak had submitted his resignation. According to her, the resignation was accepted.
Trofiniak was appointed as CEO of PGZ on March 22, 2024.
The media had been reporting on the possible resignation of the PGZ's CEO for several weeks, stating that his dismissal was said to be wanted by the Ministry of National Defence (MON) and the military, with the government side disagreeing.
