Polish state development bank has KUKE credit insurer guarantees for green transition financing

Poland's state development bank BGK has signed an annex to its framework agreement with the Polish credit insurer KUKE, which will allow the bank to use collateral in the form of KUKE guarantees when financing the green energy transition, BGK said in a statement.


"BGK has signed an annex to the framework agreement with the KUKE credit insurer. From now on, BGK will be able to use collateral in the form of an KUKE guarantees for up to 80 percent of the amount of the investment loan when financing the energy transition," the bank wrote.

It added that thanks to this, Poland's state development bank will reduce its risk and be able to increase the scale of lending for the green transition many times over.
