Polish TV stations TVN and Polsat to be placed on strategic companies list, says PM

Polish TV stations TVN and Polsat will be included in the list of strategic companies (being included on this list bars the possibility of selling to countries hostile to Poland), Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced at a briefing.


"I have decided to supplement the list of protected companies with TV stations TVN and Polsat. They will be included in the list of strategic companies. The relevant resolution will be ready next week," Tusk said.

"This means that without the consent of the Polish government it will not be possible to take over these companies," he added.

According to the PM, this has to do with the recent elections in Romania and Russian interference.
