Cyfrowy Polsat SAPolsat Plus RES completes work on its largest wind farm in Drzezewo; full launch in Q4 2025
Listed TMT group Cyfrowy Polsat's renewables subsidiary, Grupa Polsat Plus, has completed installation work on its largest wind farm in Drzezewo, with a capacity of 139 MW. Sixty-three turbines have been installed and the project is currently undergoing technological commissioning, the company said in a press release. Full commercial launch of the farm is planned for the fourth quarter.
The Drzezewo farm consists of 63 wind turbines located in the municipalities of Potegowo and Glowczyce in the Pomeranian region, northern Poland. Each wind turbine has a capacity of 2.2 MW. The farm's estimated annual production corresponds to the annual electricity demand of 180,000 households.
Listed construction group Erbud's subsidiary Onde was the contractor for the comprehensive construction works for the investment, Vestas was the turbine supplier, and Neo Energy Group provided contract engineering services.
In August, Grupa Polsat Plus obtained loans totalling nearly PLN 953 million (EUR 223.8 mln) from a consortium of Polish financial institutions for the construction of a wind farm in Drzezewo.
The Polsat Plus group produces clean energy from the sun, wind and biomass. Currently, four wind farms with a total capacity of 150 MW are in operation After commissioning of the farm in Drzezewo (138.6 MW), the group's wind power generation capacity will double.
The group's own renewable energy sources produced 1,016 GWh of green energy in 2024 (314 GWh from wind, 86 GWh from solar, 616 GWh from biomass), up by 53 percent year on year. In the first half of 2025, it was 592 GWh (216 GWh from wind, 44 GWh from solar and 332 GWh from biomass) , up 41 percent year on year.
