The Croatian grocery chain Studenac group's consolidated revenues amounted to EUR 816.5 million in 2024, an increase of 22 percent year on year, the company said in a press release. Studenac plans to open 160 shops organically in 2025.
As stated, in 2024 Studenac opened 140 new shops and acquired 68 existing outlets. The chain's total number of shops in Croatia and Slovenia reached 1,443 at the end of last year.
"In 2024, Studenac strengthened its position as the chain with the largest number of grocery shops in Croatia. We also marked our international aspirations with the acquisition of the Slovenian Kea chain. In Slovenia, we also initiated organic growth with the launch of the new Stu.MARKET brand in this market," Michal Senchuk, CEO of Studenac, quoted in the release, said.
The CEO added that Studenac intends to accelerate organic growth while continuing its proven strategy of market consolidation in Croatia and Slovenia, and by 2025 it plans to open in both these markets with 160 new shops.
