Swiss-originated energy group enters Poland through subsidiary MET Polska

Swiss-based energy group MET is entering the Polish market through its subsidiary MET Polska, the company announced in a press release. The company's activities will focus on supporting large energy-intensive enterprises, as well as SMEs and renewable energy producers.


As stated, as part of the group's international development strategy, Poland is the 21st country in which MET is establishing a subsidiary.

MET Group operates in four areas: trading and wholesale, sales to end customers, renewable energy production and flexible asset management.

"MET Polska will focus on the sale of energy and natural gas to end customers, both SMEs and large industrial consumers. The company will also be active in the area of origination in the field of electricity and natural gas and the provision of services for renewable energy sources," MET Group said in the press release.

It was added that MET Polska already has all the necessary licences to start operating in Poland. The company has signed its first contracts with customers, which will commence in October.

MET Group is an integrated European energy company based in Switzerland with assets and operations in the natural gas and electricity markets. MET is present in 21 countries through subsidiaries, in 32 national gas markets and in 44 international trading hubs.
