Votum legal advisor maintains target of 8,000 new CHF loan agreements in 2025

Listed legal advisor group Votum expects that the acceleration of court proceedings in Swiss franc loan cases and the effectiveness of settlement negotiations will enable a reduction in the costs of handling such cases, Votum representatives told a video conference following the release of group's quarterly report. The company maintains its target of 8,000 new agreements in 2025.

The group announced on Friday that it had acquired over 5,600 new CHF loan cases in the first three quarters of 2025.

The number of contracts concluded in the third quarter alone amounted to 1,975. In turn, the volume of cases contracted in October exceeded 800.

"Our goal for this year was to acquire another 8,000 contracts, and it seems that this is entirely achievable," said Votum's CEO Bartlomiej Krupa.

"Next year, it will be no less than 5,000 contracts," he added.

Votum reported that in the third quarter of 2025, despite the seasonality of sales manifested in lower contract volumes during the summer season, the group saw a 16 percent year-on-year increase and a 15 percent quarter-on-quarter growth in the number of contracts concluded.

The company announced that in the first half of 2025, it recorded a number of rulings issued by courts of first instance at a level similar to previous years, but starting from the third quarter of 2025, a downward trend can be observed in this regard.

According to Votum, this is due to the fact that the acceleration of court proceedings is accompanied by an increase in the number of settlements, including those concluded before the court of first instance issues a judgment.

"As for the costs of handling banking cases related to Swiss franc loans, thanks to the acceleration, they will be significantly reduced in subsequent periods," CEO Krupa said.
