This year's RES auctions will take place between July 1 and 9 - energy market regulator
Seven sessions of auctions for the sale of electricity from renewable sources will be held between July 1 and 9, Poland's energy market regulator URE said. It added that in this year's auctions, a total of 75.9 TWh of green energy worth slightly more than PLN 31 billion (EUR 7.26 bln) could be supported.
On Monday, the URE published announcements for individual auctions in the its Public Information Bulletin.
"More than half of the total available energy volume this year - a total of 43.5 TWh, with a total value of almost PLN 13 billion - has been allocated to the generators so far most active in the auction support system, i.e. generators using solar radiation and onshore wind energy to generate electricity," it wrote.
It added that the largest basket in terms of electricity volume (32.25 TWh) is the common basket for large (above 1 MW) photovoltaic installations and onshore wind power.
The auction session dedicated to these installations will take place on the last day - July 9 this year.
URE stressed that the 2025 auctions are dedicated exclusively to so-called new installations.
