Belchatow is being strongly considered as location for Poland's second nuclear power plant
Belchatow is a seriously considered location for Poland's second nuclear power plant, but additional studies are needed to determine whether the conditions, in addition to the existing energy infrastructure, are favourable for this location, Minister of State Assets Jakub Jaworowski told Business Insider.
"Certainly Belchatow is a very seriously considered location. (...) Certainly the advantage of Belchatow is all the infrastructure that channels the energy produced," Jaworowski said.
"What is needed now are specific studies, including geological ones, which will answer the question of how much other conditions are good and favourable for the construction of a nuclear power plant there as well," he added.
