Poland's state development bank BGK has granted PLN 256.608 billion (EUR 60.3 bln) in guarantees under the state programme of de minimis credit guarantees by the end of August 2025, up by PLN 2.1 billion (EUR 493.8 mln) from PLN 254.501 billion (EUR 59.8 bln) at end-June, BGK's data has shown.
The guarantees translated into PLN 401.812 billion (EUR 94.5 bln) loans issued to companies.
As BGK reported, 306,705 companies have taken out loans within the programme since its launch in March 2013.
The 'de minimis' programme is aimed at providing co-guarantees for loans for small- and medium-sized enterprises, taking some of the risk burden away from the commercial banks. It has been operating since 2013.
