Poland 2050 wants to reduce margins on loans; if necessary, could propose credit holidays
Poland would benefit from making credit cheaper; if this cannot be achieved in the negotiation process with banks, ruling coalition party Poland 2050 will propose a credit holidays bill, parliamentary Speaker and leader of Poland 2050 Szymon Holownia announced at a conference in the Polish parliament.
At the conference, representatives of Poland 2050 and PSL ruling coalition parties called for banks to invest more in the Polish economy, especially in view of the increased need for public spending on defence.
"Today, it is good for the state to make credit in Poland cheaper and I understand that interest rates cannot be moved, but what can be changed in banks, should be changed in my opinion," Holownia said.
"If this does not succeed in the negotiation process, we propose a law on credit holidays in order to relieve borrowers (...)," he added.
